New York City Mayor Eric Adams has positioned the metropolis at the forefront of digital asset adoption with the announcement of the first NYC Crypto Summit, scheduled for May 20. The event signals a strategic push to establish NYC as the preeminent global center for cryptocurrency innovation and financial inclusion.

Adams, flanked by blockchain industry leaders including Figure’s June Ou and Traction and Scale’s Richard Hecker, emphasized blockchain’s potential to expand financial access during a press conference.
